Lillian Murphy is a lyric coloratura soprano with experience in musical theater, opera, oratorio and recital.  Recent accomplishments include making the finals in the Bel Canto Soloist Competition (May 2006), a solo recital (March 2006), and Honorable Mention in the April 2005 Chicago Chapter NATS Auditions (Post-Grad/Professional Division).  In February 2001, she sang in a master class with world-renowned soprano Deborah Voigt.

Lillian has performed as soprano soloist for Mozart’s Requiem, Poulenc’s Gloria, and Faure’s Requiem, among others.  Favorite opera roles include Micaela in Bizet’s Carmen and Lauretta in Puccini’s Gianni Schicci.  She has also appeared in Chicago productions of musicals Quilters and Ragtime, participated in a staged concert reading and demo recording of a new musical, The Ceiling., and appeared in a Chicago production of Noel Coward's Bitter Sweet.
